"There's no doubt that the (LENS) neurofeedback therapy was very helpful. It took the edginess I felt away and helped bring my music to peak performance."
- "Robert S".
"Shortly after I started doing (the LENS) neurofeedback with Anton ,my husband noticed a positive change in my temperament, less irritable, not as easily disturbed, equanimous. I found myself learning lyrics much more easily and, best of all, I am beginning to organize and follow through on my daily and long-term projects.

The LENS (Low Energy Neurofeedback System)

What is the LENS?
'The LENS feeds back your brainwaves via tiny radio waves-smaller than a digital watch or cell phone signal-enabling the brain to self-adjust and re-balance itself, for increased clarity, strength, flexibility and resilience.

The LENS was developed in the early 1990's by Dr Len Ochs, a pioneer in the field of neurofeedback. Unlike traditional systems, the LENS is not operant conditioning, is not rewards/performance-based, and therefore avoids set-up for failure.

The patient simply sits quietly, eyes closed. The LENS gives feedback directly to the brain, enabling the nervous system to balance itself. The signal is carried by tiny radio waves. An evaluation at Lawrence Livermore National Labs deemed the radio waves to be in the 12-100Mhz bandwidth and of 10-18 magnitude watts per square cm intensity (less than a digital watch) Feedback is given at positive offset frequency from the patient's own dominant bandwidth frequency, or the one highest in amplitude using a 19 or 21 site topographic brain map. One lead is placed on the head and one on each ear. Protocols include an Offset if appropriate, or covering multiple sites following a cortical map. Changes are tracked from week to week and in remapping.

The LENS works synergistically with other therapeutic modalities, including Reconnective Healing, HeartMath and Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) to balance and bring harmony to the nervous system. Effects of the LENS can be quicker, with fewer treatment sessions, than with traditional neurofeedback. SEE BELOW: The LENS: A Clinical Outcomes Study.

Reconnective Healing & The Reconnection
Reconnective Healing & The Reconnection is a new form of energy work corresponding to what many regard as a speeding up and expansion of forces happening now in our world.' The Shift is a term applied to the process of Earth accelerating through a course of evolutionary change with the human species linked by choice to the electromagnetic fields of Earth, following suit through a process of cellular change.' (Gregg Braden "In walking between the worlds" ).

'Reconnective Healing utilizes new frequencies -- palpable energies initiated by the practitioner that allow healing and attunement to a higher frequency level. The Reconnection brings in 'new' axiatonal lines, part of a parallel-dimensional  circulatory system for the renewal functions of the human body. These new lines, activated, allow for exchange of light and information, the reconnection of DNA strands and the reintegration of 'strings' ( simultaneously occurring or parallel planes of existence).

Anton Bluman received The Reconnection, took levels I and II from the founder, Eric Pearl, and level III from Doug de Vito. The Healing frequences Anton received resonated with forces felt at certain magnetic energy centers, or vortices, in the US and Japan.

In Reconnective Healing the practitioner 'heals' by placing his or her palms at some distance over the surface of the skin. It is an intuitive Healing, a return to balance, that addresses problems or imbalances on any level: physical, mental, emotional, spiritual. Everyone's experience is unique, and Healing takes many forms. Effective Healings are facilitated through being open to simply notice and observe.

Reconnective Healing can be effective in as little as 1-3 sessions; it is recommended before receiving The Reconnection, which is one time only, completed over two sessions with space in between. Once completed "you own your change, your healing, your evolution".

Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)
EFT stimulates meridian or energy points and circuits of the body, analogous to those used in Acupuncture. It has been described as 'Acupuncture without the needles’. By tapping with the fingertips on specific points, energy blocks are released; energy disruptions are rectified, bringing emotional relief and physiological well-being. EFT has been shown to be effective in many areas-from overcoming phobias and addictions, to facilitating lymph circulation, to alleviating a wide range of emotional and neurological issues.

This is an emotional and physiological self-management technique. It can help regulate heart rate variability, balance and harmonize heart rhythms to brain rhythms through the so-called 'Relaxation Response' of the parasympathetic nervous system. Research shows that when 'heart intelligence' is engaged it can lower blood pressure, improve nervous system and hormonal balance and facilitate brain function. Training may involve rhythmic breathing, visualization and attending to animations.

HeartMath has helped alleviate ADD, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Anxiety, social and spiritual issues It has had wide applications, including corporate and governmental stress- management training, with benefits including increased cognitive flexibility, innovative problem-solving and decision-making, creativity, job performance and achievements.

The LENS (Low Energy Neurofeedback System): A Clinical Outcomes Study on One Hundred Patients at Stone Mountain Center, New York
Introduction. The Low Energy Neurofeedback System (LENS) developed by Dr. Len Ochs (2006a) uses feedback in the form of a radio frequency carrier wave, administered at a positive offset frequency from the person's own dominant EEG frequency. Although it is an unusual biofeedback procedure, the feedback being invisible and the subject passive, clinical evidence supports the efficacy of the LENS across a spectrum of conditions. Published research studies (Schoenberger, Shifflet, Esty, Ochs, & Matheis, 2001; Donaldson, Sella, & Mueller, 1998; Mueller, Donaldson, Nelson, &Layman, 2001) have shown the effectiveness of the LENS method with traumatic brain injury (TBI) and with fibromyalgia. No study to date has evaluated LENS treatment across the spectrum of disorders and with a significantly large sample. This study was devised to address these issues. The study hypotheses were that the LENS treatment would be effective in reducing both systematic symptom ratings and measurements of EEG amplitudes, and that the therapeutic effect would produce the most rapid improvements in early sessions of treatment.

Method. "Blinded" research associates selected the first 100 patients from approximately 300 case files that met the following inclusion criteria: the person had received at least 10 treatment sessions, completed an initial CNS questionnaire, and that session-by-session subjective symptom ratings (SSRF) had been obtained. Patients ranged from 6 to 80 years old, almost evenly divided between male and female, with a wide range of symptoms and comorbid DSM-IV diagnoses.

Results. Data were statistically analyzed for significance and corelational variables. Average symptom ratings across 15 major problem areas (e.g., anxiety, mood disturbance, attentional problems, fatigue, pain, sleep problems, etc.) showed significant improvements (p "<"; .0001) from beginning to end of treatment. After an average of only 20 treatments the mean average of patient symptom ratings (0-10) declined from 7.92 to 3.96, a 50% improvement. Equally significant was the drop in EEG amplitude at the highest amplitude electrode site (HAS; p < .0001) as well as a lesser but still significant decrease at Cz (p < .002). A final analysis of the average symptom score with the HAS score showed them to be highly correlated. All hypotheses were confirmed. Conclusions. LENS treatment appears to be very efficient and effective in rapidly reducing a wide range of symptoms. It particularly produces rapid improvements in the first five to six sessions. Recommendations for future research are provided.
